The Paco Hardware Heavy Duty Strap Hinge is used for gates, shed doors, barn doors, toolboxes or chests. It has countersunk screw holes on each side of the hinge for reinforcement and the offset mounting holes are designed to give additional strength and support. Exterior hinges are typically installed in a pair, one at the top and one at the bottom when mounting to wood doors and frames. In the case of a door with heavy weight, a third hinge is recommended in the middle for optimal support. The strap hinge is made from heavy duty steel which provides durability for consistent use and has a zinc-plated finish for rust resistance. Strap hinges are designed to be seen, they can be used outdoors on a variety of gates and doors or indoors on cabinet doors or interior room doors for a rustic farmhouse decorative look. Installation screws are sold separately.
